Our Polyaspartic Process
Surface Preparation
The substrate (typically concrete or metal) is cleaned, repaired, and profiled to ensure proper adhesion. This involves removing contaminants like grease, dirt, or old coatings, and often includes mechanical grinding or shot blasting to create the ideal surface texture.
Primer Application
Primer Application
A primer is applied to seal the surface and enhance adhesion between the substrate and the coating system. This step helps fill pores, reduce moisture issues, and create a strong foundation for the subsequent layers.
Base Coat Application
A base coat of polyaspartic resin is applied, often incorporating pigments, aggregates, or decorative elements like color flakes or quartz. This layer builds the thickness, strength, and desired aesthetic properties of the coating.
Top Coat Sealing
The final polyaspartic topcoat is applied to seal and protect the surface. It provides UV stability, chemical resistance, abrasion resistance, and a glossy or matte finish, ensuring a durable and long-lasting result.
